About the Open Data Portal

The Open Data Portal is a digital platform by Aguas de Alicante (AMAEM) that provides access to the data it generates in the management of the integral water cycle. This initiative is part of the "Integral Digitization of Aguas de Alicante" project, an action funded by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU funds, within the PERTE for the Digitization of the Water Cycle. The platform will publish data from AMAEM and, in turn, seeks to ensure interoperability with other public administrations.

This portal was created with the objective of centralizing the advanced management of data and sharing it openly with citizens, administrations, and researchers. The goal is for any person, company, or organization to be able to reuse the information for the development of new products and services, promoting transparency, participation, and citizen collaboration.

Aguas de Alicante will work continuously on the evolution of this portal, both in the dynamic publication of new datasets and in the improvement of existing ones. All of this is to comply with the principles of open data and the Technical Interoperability Standard for the Reuse of Information Resources.
